Samar Nezamabad is an Irish artist and curator based in Belfast. She is a Co-Director at Catalyst Arts and a Fine Art Painting Graduate from Limerick School of Art & Design.
Her artistic practice explores time, memory, and grief through analogue photography and installation. Her curatorial practice centres on directing exhibitions that provide a notable experience for the viewer by implementing a degree of immersion and sustainable artistic practices that approach their method of making from the ground up.
Recent exhibitions include Phantasm (Black Box, 2025), and Daisy, Daisy (The Complex, 2024). Curatorial projects include FIX25 (Catalyst Arts, Belfast), Gluttttt - Bolg Lán (Glassbox, France, 2025), and From Dust (Platform Arts, 2025). She received the Freelands Foundation Artist Bursary 2025 from a-n The Artists Information Company and recently completed a residency with Digital Arts Studios (Belfast).
